Chérie AI — Find makeup that actually matches in seconds
I co-founded Chérie AI, a beauty tech startup that helps people discover makeup that actually works for them based on their skin type and skin tone from just one snap of a photo. I built our backend and recommendation engine from scratch, and helped grow the product to a steady user base and a large product catalog. We were part of the Innovation Cluster’s Level Up Winter 2025 cohort, a startup accelerator program that supported our early growth and product development.

I like building things that make people’s lives a little easier — and a lot more fun.
I’m a software engineer, startup founder, and full-time student at Trent University. I recently wrapped up the MLH x Meta Production Engineering Fellowship, where I learned to manage Linux systems, write efficient bash scripts, and keep production servers running smoothly.
I co-founded Chérie AI, a beauty tech startup helping people find makeup that actually works. I built our backend and recommendation engine from scratch. Now we’ve got 200+ monthly users, 5,000+ products, and we’re still growing.
I love building things that blend creativity and tech. I’ve been to Hack the North, Elle Hacks, Hack Western, and UofT Hacks, and I co-direct Hack Trent, Trent University’s annual hackathon. My favorite tools are Flask, FastAPI, Selenium, AWS, and Puppeteer, and I’m especially into backend systems, automation, and web scraping.
Outside of code, I play basketball, run long distances, and play guitar (mostly fingerstyle or R&B). I also watch way too much NBA and look up to players like Wemby and LeBron for the same reason I love startups: vision, discipline, and the belief that you can build something legendary.
